CAMBRIDGE, Mass., November 21, 2005 -- Endeca, the leading provider of Guided Navigation®, Search and Analysis solutions, today announced that Nottingham-based Boots.com Direct Limited, a subsidiary of Boots Group PLC, has deployed Endeca's search, navigation and merchandising solution on Boots.com, the company's online store. Deployed as part of the company's ongoing efforts to improve the shopping experience for the upcoming holiday shopping season, the new search solution offers a wide variety of intuitive, cutting-edge features and functionality to help shoppers more quickly and easily find desirable products.

The new solution -- now live -- was developed and deployed through a strategic partnership with Framfab, a leading European interactive marketing and Web consulting business.

The Endeca InFront solution, used by more than 90 leading retailers and 150 e-commerce stores worldwide, gives online shoppers the ability to refine searches and navigate products by the shopping criteria most important to them -- a next-generation approach known as Guided Navigation. For example, shoppers can refine searches by price range, brand, department, product category and more.

"Search plays a pivotal role in the online shopping experience, with the majority of our shoppers using our search engine to find products," said Brian Linnington, Head of Boots.com. "With Endeca, we can give our shoppers easy and accurate means of finding products and information, while providing helpful next steps to quickly hone in on the most desirable items. The end result is happier customers and better sales."

Powering the largest and most heavily trafficked online stores on the Web, Endeca InFront is now used by more leading online retailers than the next six competing solutions combined. Retailers including 1-800-Flowers.com, Barnes & Noble, Bol.com, Comet, Dabs.com, The Home Depot, Littlewoods, Tesco and Wehkamp rely on Endeca as a critical piece of the online sales efforts.
