Annual revenue more than doubled over 2004 levels as Endeca signed more than 100 new North American, European and Asian customers. In addition, Endeca closed new transactions with 50 existing customers to expand successful search and analysis applications and develop additional applications.
Based on publicly available reports and data, Endeca's rate of growth has far outpaced all other enterprise search and information access software providers. For the period of 2002-2005, Endeca reported a 142 percent CAGR (compound annual growth rate).
New and repeat customers in 2005 include industry leaders in retail, manufacturing and distribution, media and publishing, and financial services, including ABN AMRO, Ace Hardware, Boots, Boeing, Cabot Corporation, CompUSA, Costco, Cox Newspapers, Datamonitor, EBSCO, Guardian Newspapers, The Home Depot, Hyatt, IBM, Milwaukee Tool, Mouser Electronics, Office Depot, Patagonia, PC Connection, Quixtar and World Book. In addition, Endeca had significant traction in the public sector, winning major new government business at the National Cancer Institute, the US Navy, the (US) Defense Intelligence Agency and several other US intelligence agencies.
