Part of the Business Objects Open Search Initiative (OSI), the partnership will give Business Objects and Endeca customers new abilities to quickly explore, find and analyze key metrics and reports, combine disparate data and content sources, and extend business intelligence (BI) capabilities to a wider audience of users. Through the partnership, organizations will be able to complement BusinessObjects XI Release 2 with Endeca's intuitive information access technology, featuring best-in-class search, Guided Navigation®, text analytics and context sensitive presentation capabilities. The combined capabilities will simplify access to reports, metrics and data held within BusinessObjects XI, unlocking additional value from BI investments. In addition, organizations will be able to take advantage of the Endeca IAP and BusinessObjects XI to unite highly structured reports and data with information scattered across disparate systems and data stores. This holistic view provides additional context around related customer, sales, product, resource information, and more.
