CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- October 23, 2007 -- Endeca Technologies, Inc., today announced that it has been named to Deloitte's 2007 Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, and life sciences companies in North America. Rankings are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth over five years, from 2002 to 2006.

Deloitte's 2007 Fast 500 featured a star-studded list of today's industry leaders -- SIRIUS Satellite Radio (ranked number 1), Google (70), Salesforce.com (129), TiVo (179), Yahoo! (270), Netflix (283), Symantec (456) -- and market disruptors in the making. Endeca was ranked number 64 with an increase in revenues over five years of 2,685 percent.

Overall, companies that ranked on the 2007 Technology Fast 500 had growth rates ranging from 253 to 79,060 percent over five years, with an average growth rate of 1,823 percent. Of the 500, 52 percent were public and 48 percent were private.

Endeca's CEO Steve Papa credits the company's continued focus on innovation and the broad applicability of its unique technology platform with the company's growth. Papa said, "We've strived to foster an entrepreneurial culture at Endeca and have always sought people who thrive under those conditions. It's this ability to retain the energy and enthusiasm of a start-up that set us apart from the competitors and fueled our rapid growth from a specialized challenger into a recognized market leader in a matter of a few short years."

"To rank on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500, companies must achieve phenomenal revenue growth over five years," said Phil Asmundson, vice chairman, U.S. Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Deloitte & Touche USA LLP. "We applaud Endeca for being among the fastest-growing companies in North America."

Fast 500 selection and qualifying criteria
